»What Are Orthotics

Orthotics are custom made foot support shoe inserts that help fix irregularities in the foot, align posture, and/or relieve pain in the foot, leg, back, and even neck. They perform functions that make standing, walking and running more agreeable and effective by correcting the alignment of the body. Our orthotics are made from (but not limited to) surgical nylon, thermo moldable corks, shock absorbent materials, leather, and carbon fiber. Our main concern is that the result works. There are many types available, from everyday use to orthotics for sports.

Orthotics fall into 3 categories:

Rigid Orthotics

Are designed primarily to give you more SUPPORT for specific problems. They can benefit extreme cases of pronation.

Flexible Orthotics

Used for most patients to correct biomechanical problems. They have many benefits and provide the most support and flexibility combined.

Soft Orthotics

Soft orthotics absorb shock where the mechanics of the foot cannot be corrected. Often used with patients having medical conditions such as Diabetic ulcerations.
